Solange is a wedding and engagement photographer working in the northeast getting ready for the busy summer season. A wedding photographer as with any creative profession depends on the quality of work and is reliant upon word of mouth advertising. Solange knew her website was in dire need of a redesign to showcase her talents to prospective clients and connections she would make over the summer months. The new website based on simplicity provides a great user experience showcasing amazing wedding photography with an elegant feminine style. On the homepage a jQuery slider displays large quality images from the photographer's portfolio. Also on the homepage is a blog feed to display articles, thoughts and the addition of new content. The blog is focused on photography linking and displaying galleries with the article and opening images in a jQuery modal window. The new site also contains sections about the photographer, the services she offers, a gallery, the blog page and a contact form. The gallery is organized by a main category and a sub category to break up the types of photography she will display. The about and services sections are simple and clutter free allowing the user to get the information they need without hassle. The contact page is also simple requiring only needed information, more of an ice breaker in which more details can be communicated later as most photographers like to meet in person to show off their portfolio. The contact form is a messaging system built into the content management system allowing Solange to then reply by email. The entire site is data driven by ASP.NET and can be updated through a custom CMS. The site was just completed and is awaiting content to be uploaded through the CMS however the site may still be viewed with place holder content.
